Foraging
It's not about free food. It isn't about showing off some decadent way of life. It's where we have come from. It's back to simplicity. Back to the riches of Earth rather than materialism. It’s remembering the relationship we hold with the land as a vital source of all resources, nutrition, medicine and a home. It's bringing the power back to the local over the global. It's a gentle rebellion from the destructive global food systems that damage native lands, resources, soil health and the quality food we need to be healthy. It's celebrating the plants, fungi, trees, organisms and elements as living entities that work with us to thrive and create life.
This gallery is a small collection of some of the edible and non-edible plants and fungi I have come across on my walks in Devon.
